I am a PICTUREBOOK AUTHOR based in Seoul, Korea. 

I majored in INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE because I wanted to build the space that I wanted to have as a child. I worked on planning and designing children’s spaces. When I saw children creating their own world in the space I created, I suddenly became jealous of them. I wanted to tell my own stories like them, so I decided to choose the path of becoming a picture book author, which I had dreamed of ‘SOMEDAY, LATER’.

I tend to take a long time to aware of my own mind.

While I am wandering, I record my emotions and contemplate them carefully and think about them over and over again. I am writing down what I noticed through the period, as if I were writing a letter to my past self. Letters are sometimes written in short sentences, loose drawings, and comfortable stories. As I read the letter, the wounds that I had not noticed because of my busy life are comforted quietly. I hope it can comfort you, too. 

<The mountain and me>, a illustrated poem for me who lived with unresolved anger in my hearts. <Snowman is a Snowman>, a picture book for me who couldn’t sleep due to the pressure of having to prove myself. <My tiny heart>, a postcard for me who needed a little comfort in my daily life when I entered an empty house after work. 

I am interested in KOREAN PAPER that are light but cozy, POP-UP cards that are like exciting gifts, and PRINTMAKING techniques that are vivid but affectionate. With the world full of interesting materials and techniques, I want to look into my mind for a long time.
